Washington: दुनिया में कोरोना का कहर है. अधिक से अधिक लोगों की जांच और सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग को इससे बचने के लिए जरूरी बताया गया है. लेकिन अगर कोई शख्स कोविड-19 से संक्रमित होता है और शुरुआती स्तर पर ही उसकी जांच की जाती है तो नतीजों में ऐसा हो सकता है कि वह संक्रमित न पाया जाये जबकि वास्तविकता में वह इस बीमारी की चपेट में आ चुका होता है. एक स्टडी में ये बात सामने आयी है.

अध्ययन में यह दावा करते हुए कहा गया है कि इस विषाणु की जांच लक्षण दिखाई देने के तीन दिन बाद करना बेहतर होता है. ‘ऐनल्ज़ ऑफ इंटरनल मेडिसिन’ में ये स्टडी प्रकाशित हुई है. अमेरिका के जॉन्स हॉप्किन्स विश्वविद्यालय के शोधकर्ताओं ने अस्पताल में भर्ती मरीजों समेत कई अन्य मरीजों के मुंह के लार के 1,330 नमूनों का विश्लेषण किया.
संक्रमण के आठ दिन बाद टेस्ट कराना सही- स्टडी
अध्ययन की सह लेखक लॉरेन कुसिर्का ने कहा, ‘चाहे किसी व्यक्ति में लक्षण हो या न हो लेकिन वह संक्रमित नहीं पाया जाता है तो यह इस बात की गारंटी नहीं है कि वह वायरस से संक्रमित नहीं है.’ साथ ही कहा, ‘संक्रमित न पाए जाने पर हम मानते है कि यह जांच सही है और इससे दूसरे लोगों की जान जोखिम में पड़ जाती है.’
वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार जिन मरीजों के कोरोना वायरस की चपेट में आने की अधिक आशंका होती है उनका संक्रमित मानकर इलाज करना चाहिए खासतौर से अगर उनमें कोविड-19 के अनुरूप लक्षण हैं. उनका मानना है कि मरीजों को जांच की कमियों के बारे में भी बताना चाहिए.
आंकड़ों के आधार पर शोधकर्ताओं ने अनुमान लगाया कि संक्रमण की चपेट में आने के चार दिन बाद जिनकी जांच की जाती है उनमें 67 प्रतिशत से अधिक लोगों के संक्रमित न पाए जाने की संभावना होती है भले ही वे असल में संक्रमित होते हैं. शोधकर्ताओं का कहना है कि कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण की जांच कराने का सबसे सही समय संक्रमण के आठ दिन बाद है जो कि लक्षण दिखने के औसतन तीन दिन के बाद का हो सकता है.
