Puducherry : पुडुचेरी विधानसभा का 20 जुलाई को शुरू हुआ बजट सत्र शनिवार को अनिश्चितकाल के लिए स्थगित कर दिया गया. इस सत्र में सदन की कार्यवाही मुख्य इमारत के बाहर नीम के पेड़ के नीचे हुई.
सदन की कार्यवाही पेड़ के नीचे हुई क्योंकि विपक्षी पार्टी एनआईएनआरसी के विधायक एनएसजे जयबाल के कोरोना वायरस से संक्रमित होने की पुष्टि के बाद इमारत का मुख्य कक्ष संक्रमण मुक्त लिए बंद कर दिया गया था. विधायक को शुक्रवार रात को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया.

आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने बताया कि यह पहली बार है जब सदन की कार्यवाही दूसरे स्थान पर चली है. सदन की कार्यवाही का संचालन कर रहे स्पीकर वी पी शिवकोलुंडु ने सदन की कार्यवाही अनिश्चिकाल के लिए स्थगित कर दी.
सदन को स्थगित करने से पहले मुख्यंमत्री वी नरायणसामी ने करीब नौ हजार करोड़ रुपये का बजट प्रस्ताव रखा. सरकार के 30 से अधिक विभागों के लिए वित्तवर्ष 2020-2021 के लिए पेश बजट को बिना चर्चा ही पारित कर दिया गया.
सदन की कार्यवाही दोपहर एक बजकर 35 मिनट पर शुरू हुई और तीन बजकर 30 मिनट पर समाप्त हुई. विपक्षी एआईएनआरसी विधायक को छोड़ सभी सदस्य कार्यवाही में शामिल हुए. उपराज्यपाल किरण बेदी ने सत्र को पहले दिन संबोधित करने के बजाय शुक्रवार को संबोधित किया.
