New Delhi: अंबाला एयरबेस पर बुधवार को पांच राफेल विमान पहुंचेंगे. वायुसेना प्रमुख आर.के.एस. भदौरिया की उपस्थिति ये विमान अंबाला एयरबेस पहुचेंगे. रणनीतिक और सामरिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण अंबाला एयरबेस पर बुधवार दोपहर पांच राफेल विमानों को रिसीव किया जाएगा.
जिसके बाद उन्हें भारतीय वायुसेना में शामिल किया जाएगा. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पांच लड़ाकू विमानों का यह बेड़ा बुधवार दोपहर एयरबेस पर पहुंच रहा है.
दो दशक से अधिक समय में लड़ाकू विमानों की पहली बड़ी खरीद
राफेल विमान भारत द्वारा पिछले दो दशक से अधिक समय में लड़ाकू विमानों की पहली बड़ी खरीद है. इन विमानों के आने से भारतीय वायुसेना की युद्धक क्षमता में महत्वपूर्ण रूप से बढ़ोत्तरी होने की संभावना है. भारत ने 23 सितंबर 2016 को फ्रांसीसी एरोस्पेस कंपनी दसॉल्ट एविएशन से 36 राफेल लड़ाकू विमान खरीदने के लिए 59,000 करोड़ रुपये का सौदा किया था.
छह राफेल प्रशिक्षु विमानों की पूंछ पर आरबी श्रृंखला की संख्या अंकित होगी. आरबी एयर चीफ मार्शल आर.के.एस. भदौरिया के नाम के पहले और अंतिम शब्द का संक्षिप्त रूप होगा. उन्होंने इस सौदे में मुख्य वार्ताकार के रूप में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है.
पांच विमानों का पहली खेप सोमवार को फ्रांसीसी बंदरगाह शहर बोरदु में मेरिग्नैक एयरबेस से रवाना हुई थी. ये विमान लगभग 7,000 किलोमीटर की दूरी तय करने के बाद बुधवार दोपहर को अंबाला पहुंचेंगे. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इन विमानों में तीन एक सीट वाले और दो विमान दो सीट वाले होंगे. इन विमानों को बुधवार दोपहर में भारतीय वायुसेना में स्क्वाड्रन नंबर 17 में शामिल किया जाएगा, जिसे ‘गोल्डन एरोज’ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है.

अगस्त में औपचारिक रूप से भारतीय वायुसेना में होंगे शामिल
हालांकि, इन विमानों को औपचारिक रूप से भारतीय वायुसेना में शामिल करने के लिए मध्य अगस्त के आसपास समारोह आयोजित किया जाएगा. जिसमें रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और देश के शीर्ष सैन्य अधिकारियों के शामिल होने की उम्मीद है. फ्रांस से अंबाला तक अपनी लंबी उड़ान के बीच ये पांचों विमान करीब सात घंटे से अधिक समय तक उड़ान भरने के बाद संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में अल दफरा एयरबेस पर उतरे थे.
पहला राफेल जेट पिछले साल अक्टूबर में रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह की फ्रांस यात्रा के दौरान भारतीय वायुसेना को सौंपा गया था. राफेल जेट का पहला स्क्वाड्रन अंबाला एयरबेस पर जबकि दूसरा पश्चिम बंगाल के हासिमारा बेस पर रहेगा.
अंबाला एयरबेस को भारतीय वायुसेना का महत्वपूर्ण बेस माना जाता है क्योंकि यहां से भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा महज 220 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर है. भारत ने जो 36 राफेल विमान खरीदे हैं उनमें से 30 लड़ाकू विमान जबकि छह प्रशिक्षु विमान हैं.
