गौरतलब है कि कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी पर देश भर के कई बड़े शहरों में दही-हांडी का आयोजन किया जाता है लेकिन सबसे ज्यादा मुंबई का दही-हांडी उत्सव होता है. इसे देखने के लिए बड़ी संख्या में लोग जुटते हैं.
इस दौरान गोविंदा की टोलियां शहर भर में ऊंचाई पर बांधी गई मटकियां को फोड़ते हैं लेकिन इस बार ऐसा संभव नहीं होगा. गौरतलब है कि कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के दूसरे दिन दही हांडी उत्सव मनाया जाता है. इस बार कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी 11 अगस्त को मनाई जाएगी.
