परिजात का लगाया वृक्ष
भगवान हनुमान की पूजा करने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने यहां एक परिजात का वृक्ष लगाया. हिंदू धर्म में इस वृक्ष को बहुत खास स्थान हासिल है. इसे पवित्र वृक्ष माना जाता है. पारिजात को हरसिंगार भी कहा जाता है. पारिजात का वृक्ष बहुत सुंदर होता है. इससे सुंगध फूटती रहती है. इस पर आकर्षक व सुगन्धित फूल लगते हैं.

कहते हैं कि इस परिजात वृक्ष के फूल और पत्ते और छाल का उपयोग कई तरह की औषधियों में होता है.
देवी लक्ष्मी को इसके फूलों से किया जाता है खुश
मान्यता है कि धन की देवी लक्ष्मी को पारिजात के पुष्प सबसे प्रिय है. यही कारण है कि उन्हें प्रसन्न करने के लिए पारिजात वृक्ष का उपयोग किया जाता है, परिजात वृक्ष को लेकर कई तरह की मान्यताएं हैं.

वृक्ष से नहीं तोड़ा जाता फूल
कहा जाता है कि पारिजात वृक्ष के वे ही फूल ही उपयोग में लाए जाते हैं, जो वृक्ष से टूटकर गिर जाते हैं. अर्थात वृक्ष से फूल तोड़ना पूरी तरह से मना है. इस वृक्ष से फूल नहीं थोड़ा जाता है.
औषधीय गुणों का भंडार
बताया जाता है कि पारिजात में औषधीय गुणों का भी भंडार है. पारिजात बवासीर रोग के निदान के लिए रामबाण औषधि है. यही नहीं, इसके फूल हृदय के लिए भी उत्तम औषधि माने जाते हैं.

त्वचा संबंधी रोग हो जाते हैं ठीक
पारिजात की पत्तियों को पीस कर शहद में मिलाकर सेवन करने से सूखी खांसी ठीक हो जाती है. इसी तरह पारिजात की पत्तियों को पीसकर त्वचा पर लगाने से त्वचा संबंधी रोग ठीक हो जाते हैं.
