We talk development, JMM lack issues talk’s anti-BJP: CM
Gomia (Bokaro): Chief minister, Raghubar Das on Monday said that “opposition parties JMM, Congress and others neither have any vision nor have any issues to talk about. They are anti-development and only talk anti-BJP to attract residents”. He said that BJP is working for development and people should think broader coming above religion and castes in giving their precious votes.
Das said that the government is working on a plan to provide urban like facilities in rural areas across the state. In a bid to achieve it, the state government has set a deadline of 2018, December to make power reaches entire villages in state apart from carrying out developmental work like installation of street lights, wide roads, pure drinking water facilities, etc in 2019.
This was the third day of Das election campaign in Gomia for bye-election. Das addressed a public gathering at Swang area of Gomia constituency. Unlike counting government’s achievement in curbing Maoists or criticizing opponent parties in political rallies held in different parts of Gomia in past two days, Das was more focused on pointing state government role in improving electricity condition in state.
He asserted, after formation of his government he was shocked reviewing the status of electrification done in state. Of about 68 lakh families living in state, power has reached to the home of around 38 lakh families. This was really a bad state. He took the electricity problem in priority and prepared a roadmap to achieve target of electrifying all the villages in state by 2018, December.
“The effort laid by his government has yielded positive results in past three and half years. Baring few, majorities of villages has electrified. And by 2018 December I am committed to electrify entire state. Installation of seven grids and 257 sub-stations is in process to strengthen electricity supply. We are also committed to equip rural areas with urban facilities by 2019,” said Das.
CM asked residents to vote in favour of BJP candidate Madhavlal Singh and promised to visit Gomia again to participate in foundation stone laying down ceremony for second phase of expansion of Tenughat Thermal Power Station which is a unit of Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited (TVNL). This will increase production of state owned TTPS. He appealed residents to give votes for development.
