Ranchi: In what could be termed as an uncalled-for suggestion BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussian asked to cease any propaganda against his party. The leader was replying to a question by News Wing to confirm about a internal survey that is a talk of the town among party workers.
BJP, that has lost almost all the by-elections for parliamentary seats and legislative seats in ruling states since it came into power, seems to be in great unrest on the organizational front.
A much talked about survey within its organization claim that in the current scenario the party would be 90 seats behind the magical figure in the 2019 parliamentary polls. The main reason behind this is said to be sabotage by certain caste based groups within the party.
Talking on the issue, Hussain said that a party worker has no caste. “All of us are workers. Now, if I am a Muslim and that too forward, what shall my roll be? all are working day and night. There is no resentment,” he added.
However, the recent rebel by former central minister Yashwant Sinha and the safety measures being taken up by the party suggest a war front preparation to control any upcoming damage.
“Most of the states units will see a reshuffle. The front line leaders who lead the party when Rajnath Singh jee was the National president have been made dormant. The catch is here. Most of the party workers still see these suppressed politicians as their leaders. Further, workers feel that leaders like Advanijee, Murli Manohar Joshi and even ex-national president have been shunned. All this chaos has taken a caste route and is damaging the internal democracy of the party. Either we stitch in time or we would have to walk on the clutches of alliance to form the next government,” told a senior party leader on condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, Hussain, interrupted and stopped the question mid way when asked about the survey, “There is no such survey. I being a spokesperson don’t know about any such survey how do you people know,” he added.
Interestingly, he concluded saying that negative propaganda should be stopped without even knowing the analysis of the survey.
Meanwhile, Ram Vilas Paswan, while speaking to media in Ranchi said the reason behind the recent defeat in by-polls was fallout of the resentment among the people. “Once the government schemes reach the last person, we would soon see the winning spree of NDA once again,” he said.
