Business Takes A Nose Dive On The Second Day Of The Naxal Bandh

Ranchi: Business suffered heavily during the two day naxal bandh. The Pandra market remained closed for the second day in succession. All the inter-state buses remained grounded even today and the bus depots wore a melancholy look. Even the passengers at the railway stations wore anxious look on their faces as they were not sure when their train would arrive to take them to their destination.
The worst affected was the wholesale market as people from the neighbouring places were unable to reach Ranchi. The wholesale cloth market wore a deserted look.
According to the business class nearly Rs.450cr worth of business was lost. The transport industry has lost nearly Rs.70 lakhs on these two days. The businessmen were a worried lot as the markets will be forcibly closed on Friday too by the ABVP and on 5th by the Bharat bandh. They grumbled that as it is the consistent inflation was having a adverse effect on the business and the frequent bandhs were only rubbing salt on their injuries.
