Balmuchu Demands President’s Rule In State
|| Says government non functional and failure on all front ||
Ranchi: Jharkhand Pradesh Congress president Pradeep Balmuchu has submitted a memorandum to Governor M O H Farook listing the failure of the government on all front and termed it as non-functional. He has demanded imposition of President’s Rule in the State.
The State Congress led by Mahanagar President Vinay Sinha Dipu, staged dharna outside the Raj Bhavan on Monday, to protest the deteriorating water and power situation in the State Addressing the Party workers Pradeep Balmuchu blamed the government for the present crisis and said that even after being in power for more than 100 days the coalition has no agenda. They have let the people down miserably and the scarcity of drinking water and frequent load shedding is only adding to the woes of the general public already reeling under the unprecedented April heat.
He said that during the President’s Rule the BPL families were being given free food grains while the present government is charging one rupee per kilo for the same and unashamedly boasting about it. The irony is that even after making tall claims the BPL list is yet to be ready, though the 28 February deadline is long since gone. This government has let the people down on all front and do not deserve to continue, hence the imposition of President’s Rule remains the only alternative added Balmuchu. He demanded from the CM Shibu Soren to make a statement to the general public detailing his talks with the RSS Chief Bhagwat. He alleged that the BJP always does what the RSS desires.
Braving the sweltering heat Party workers had assembled for the dharna in huge numbers from all the districts. Balmuchu expressed his pleasure at the gathering and urged the workers to spread the mal-functioning of the present government to every nook and corner.
Jamshedpur MLA Banna Gupta said that the current government is incapable of doing anything as it is a mere puppet in the hands of State’s bureaucrats. The ministers continue to do what has been done the last ten years- fleece the State! Till the recent elections vehement critic of RSS and BJP, Shibu Soren is now sitting on the very lap of RSS. It clearly shows that the JMM has no set principles and are only greedy for power. Such Parties should be opposed with entire strength. Veteran Stephen Marandi too echoed Banna’s words.
Dr. Sailesh Sinha, Radha Kishan Kishore, Pratibha Pandy, Pradeep Tulsyan, former Speaker Alamgir Alam and other leaders addressed the gathering. All of them unanimously expressed that the agitation would be intensified throughout the State if immediate remedial measures are not taken for restoring normalcy in the water and power sector.
