The adivasi Sarhul festival was celebrated with full gaiety but the citizens of Ranchi had to be content wiuth a forced power cut of more than seven hours at a stretch. In view of the eight hour long procession, the JSEB played it safe by switching off the power connections of the entire city for the period. Thje ultimate sufferers, the citizens of the city, had to bear it without a word of protest. The power situation regained its normalcy at 10pm in the night.
