Giridih/Ranchi: Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren was made to stand in the dock for more than half an hour as accused in a twin murder case in a district court at Giridih.

Shibu is one of the accused in the murder of two persons on April 15, 1974 under the Pirtand Police station of Giridih. Shibu was just 30 years of age at that time and was alleged as the leader of group that killed Khirodar Singh and Chundi Singh of Kudko village for slaughtering a goat.

As the hearing could not be completed, the Judge fixed 8th of March as the next date for hearing. Shibu is the lone accused alive to face the trial for which FIR was registered in 1978 by Bahadur Singh. Most of the witnesses in the case have expired since then and some have turned hostile. In all the prosecution had listed 20 people to depose against Shibu.
