CM Leaves For Dehi With His Two Deputies
Ranchi: CM Shibu Soren and his two deputy CMs left for Delhi on Wednesday. Soren is scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Chidambaram to make his stand clear on the Naxal issue. Soren’s off-the-cuff remarks on the naxal issue had put a hold on the so called ‘operation green hunt’ of the Centre. The central home ministry especially the Home Minister was visibly upset by the pro-naxal stand of the CM.
Soren was quoted as saying that he was against use of force against the naxalites and any action by the centre would have to be Okayed by the State first. Later, on facing all round criticism for his remarks, the CM backtracked on his remarks and clarified that he was only trying to bring the strayed youth to the mainstream and that he was not against ‘Operation Green Hunt’ and would accord all help and co-operation to the centre on the matter.
Dy.CM Raghubar Das said that they were going fully prepared with an action plan but refused to divulge the details. Dy.CM Sudesh Mahto has also accompanied the CM. The meeting with Chidambaram is slated for Thursday the 28th .
