Jharkhand Observes Repub’Day

Homeguard bags first prize in parade

The main function for the Republic Day celebrations was held at Morabadi Grounds in Ranchi. The Governor M O H Farook hoisted the tri-color and took the salute during the march past of 11 different battalions of the security forces in Jharkhand. The Home Guard battalion led by Jagmohan Mistry was adjudged the best. The second prize went to JAP-1 battalion led by sub-inspector Sunil Gurung while the third prize was bagged by CISF led by sub-inspector Bandhu Nayak.

Animal Husbandry tableau adjudged the best

The various departments of the State prepared tableaus to project their department’s achievements. Animal Husbandry department depicting Dairy Project was agjudged the best by panel of judges. The second prize was awarded to the Jharkhand Police tableau depicting community policing. The third prize was given to Art, Culture, youth & Sports department’s tableau. The other departments whose tableaus were on display included Forest & Environment, Co-operatives, JASCOLAMPS, Information & Public Relations, Health & Family Welfare, Agriculture & Sugarcane Development, Welfare Department, Jharkhand State Minerals Development Corporation Ltd., Tata Steel, Drinking Water & Cleanliness department, Human Resources Development, Jharkhand State Khadi Board and the Information & Technology department.

C. P. Singh hoists the tri-color at Vidan Sabha

Jharkhand Assembly Speaker C. P. Singh hoisted the tri-color at the Vidan Sabha premises and garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. Speaking on the occasion he said that every citizen of the nation should take the oath of maintaining the unity & integrity of the country.

CCL CMD hoists the tri-color at Gandhi Nagar maidan

Ranjan Kumar Saha, the CMD of CCL hoisted the tri- color at Gandhi Nagar Maidan and said that he was proud to be living in Jharkhand. Coal is the main source for energy and added that he was proud of the fact that the thousands of employees of CCL were working with dedication to meet the set targets of production. School children presented cultural programmes

Apart from these, many other organizations and departments celebrated the Republic Day. These include HEC, Ranchi Railway Zonal Headquarters, Abhijeet Group, CMPDI and the headquarters of all political Parties.
