Ranchi: Power corrupts and the sensibility of a person goes haywire when his corrupt practices start getting exposed. Personal Secretary (PS) of former CM Madhu Koda, the central figure in the purported scam of the century involving thousands of crores, lost his cool when media persons confronted him at a busy business centre of Ranchi for his comments on his involvement in the entire episode, and used unprintable words of abuse for the entire media fraternity and even viciously threatened Brijesh Rai, in front of hundreds of onlookers, to ‘shoot’ him down.

Such arrogance of a mere PS when out of power and a probable suspect in his boss’s misdeeds speaks volumes of his character when he was ‘in office’. Expectedly the entire media was united in condemning the outburst and as the threat and abuse was on tape and record, proper legal action initiated against him. If the accused persons resort to such violent reaction when questioned about their alleged activities then it poses a great threat to the very life of the representatives of the ‘Fourth Pillar’.

It is a well known fact that the corrupt politicians and their aides have contacts with criminals and from time to time utilize their services for their dubious means. This is however not the first time a tainted person has reacted in this manner. Just a couple of days ago the tainted ex minister Hari Narayan Rai, presently in Jail under the Judicial custody, threatened the policemen with dire consequences after being re-elected , in front of hundreds of his workers and media persons present at the venue where he filed his nomination papers. There was no remorse on his face and the arrogance of his tone expressed his contempt for the law.
