Ranchi: A total of 385 candidates will try their luck to win the 30 Assembly seats going to the polls in the first phase. In their declaration along with the nomination papers, 19 candidates have assets over Rs.one Crore, including sitting Ranchi MLA C P Singh, Pradeep Tulsyan, tainted minister Hari Narayan Rai, sitting MLA Gopal Nath Shahdeo and three independents.

The first phase of elections is to be held on 25th instant. JMM has roped in many ex-Maoists into the Party fold and at least five of them are likely to get the Party ticket. This includes Satish Sah, an ex-Maoist currently out on bail.
