Ranchi : After a long gap, a circus in the form of Olympic Circus, has arrived at the State capital to regall the Ranchiites. The circus industry has been struggling to maintain the 200 odd people and animals attached to their caravan, after the ban on using wild animals in the show.

Now, only a few elephants, camels, horses and dogs adorn the circus. It is mainly up to the trapeze artistes and other acrobats and ‘jokers’ to keep the audience glued to their seats for two hours. The unprecedented intermittent rains for the past twelve days in the city, are further adding to the misery of the management. Children were however excited at the prospect of witnessing their first ever circus show, as could be seen by the innumerable kids lining up at the circus venue to have a look at the elephants and other animals on display.
